The Do's and Don'ts of Pick-Up Soccer

  • DO: Please treat everyone with respect and courtesy

    DON'T: 'Coach' or give negative comments towards other players

    DO: Acknowledge players (from both sides) for good plays and efforts

    DON'T: Bring out crazy celebrations after you score

    DO: Wear proper soccer attire

    DON'T: swear (there are kids on other fields)

    DO: Chase down the loose ball if you are closest to it no matter which side you are on; time flies!

    DON'T: Mark a player for the entire game

    DO: Pass often and move to space

    DON'T: " ... dribble, dribble, dribble, shot 20 feet wide of goal, repeat as needed till nobody passes to you again."

    DO: Come on time
